Seashell from memory

(19 cm x 11 cm x 5,5 cm)

Handbuilt, this kind of seashell, with details in engobe was fired on gas kiln .
It´s from two years ago, when I made a group of 12 unique pieces.
knew it recently that one of them, is at Brazilan Navy Hidrography Center at Rio de Janeiro, I know no better place to it.
This one I keep, has something about the sea, from my city; something that
I really feel good when I look, when I touch it.
A seashell; from the sea of my memory.

Feita a mão, esta peça é uma espécie de concha, com detalhes
em engobe e queimada em forno a gás.
É de uns dois anos atrás, quando fiz um grupo de 12 peças únicas.
Recentemente eu soube que uma delas está no Centro de Hidrografia da Marinha,
no Rio de Janeiro. Certamente um bom lugar para ela.
Esta eu guardei; tem algo de mar, algo de minha cidade,
algo que faz-me sentir muito bem.
Uma concha; do mar de minha memória.
